Accuracy and confidential nature of reports
Survey reports are official documents, which may have to be produced as evidence before a court of law, inquiry or arbitration. At our head office, the society is called on frequently, to make classification reports available for exhibition, for litigation purposes.
At INTLREG, we ensure that these reports remain factual and that they do not include confidential sources of information or contain statements of a misleading nature.
A similar consideration applies to observation brought to the notice of the surveyor on the operation of a ship or its machinery and to suggestions for improvements of structure or machinery.
