INTLREG successfully addressed a critical challenge for the maritime industry in Uganda regarding Newbuilding Tests and Sea Trials. Local shipyards and vessel owners faced difficulties ensuring that new vessels met international standards during the testing phase, often resulting in costly delays and rework. INTLREG stepped in to provide expert guidance and support, ensuring that the testing and trials process was conducted in line with global maritime regulations.

Our team of highly skilled surveyors conducted thorough assessments of the vessels during the newbuilding phase, overseeing critical tests and sea trials to verify compliance with safety, operational, and environmental standards. We worked closely with the shipyard and local authorities to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring that the trials were completed efficiently and on schedule.

Thanks to INTLREG’s intervention, Ugandan shipbuilders were able to successfully complete newbuilding tests, ensuring that their vessels were fully compliant with international regulations. This resulted in faster deliveries, improved vessel performance, and stronger industry reputation for Uganda’s maritime sector.
