When requested to carry out an Annual, Intermediate or Renewal Survey, Surveyors should establish whether INTLREG is authorized to carry out the survey.

Additionally it should be established that the survey requested is due. In the case of INTLREG classed ships registered under flags for which INTLREG is not authorized to carry out safety equipment surveys, surveys should only be carried out when documented instructions are given directly by the Flag Administration.
